Laid-Back Camp and mono Go on Hiatus — What Is Actually Free Here
Afro's health has paused both manga. Our index holds exactly one free Laid-Back Camp episode a US reader can open, and eleven more that are locked to India.

The hiatus
Anime News Network reported on 28 July 2026 that the Laid-Back Camp manga and the mono manga are both going on hiatus. The stated cause is the creator Afro's health, which worsened under the strain of serialising two manga at the same time.
That is the news. The more useful question for anyone who reads it and then wants to watch something is how much of the associated animation is actually available free, and the honest answer is narrower than it looks.
What is free here, exactly
Our catalogue holds Laid-Back Camp as a 12-episode TV series from 2018, animated by C-Station and filed under Comedy and Slice of Life. Of those 12 episodes, a reader in the United States can open exactly one.
Episode 1 is free and carries no region restriction. It sits on Crunchyroll's own verified YouTube channel as an English dub, listed as "Laid-Back Camp Episode 1 English Dub | Mount Fuji and Curry Noodles" and running 1430 seconds — a complete episode, not a clip. Its caption data carries both an authored English track and an English auto-recognised track, which is how we confirm the audio is English.
The same first episode is also free in three other languages, all of them permitting US viewers: a Portuguese dub from Crunchyroll Brasil, a German-subtitled upload from Crunchyroll Deutschland, and an Italian-subtitled upload from Crunchyroll Italia. Four languages, one episode.
Episodes 2 through 12 are where it stops. The only uploads we hold for them come from Ani-One India, and every one is region-locked to India alone. Their titles read "(EN Sub / JP Dub)", so English subtitles do exist on those files — they are simply not reachable from the United States. The US free total for the series is 1 of 12.
We re-queried the rest of the franchise today and found nothing at all: no free episodes for Laid-Back Camp Season 2, Season 3, or the film, and none for the four other Yuru Camp entries we index (the Season 1, Season 2 and Season 3 OVAs, and Season 4). For mono, we index the 2025 TV series — 12 episodes, animated by Soigne — and hold zero episodes of it. The only two rows we have are Aniplex music videos.
Something you can finish tonight
If the appeal was the register rather than the specific series, Little Shark's Day Out (Odekake Kozame) is fully watchable free. All 60 episodes sit on the series' own official YouTube channel with no region restriction anywhere, Japanese audio with an authored English subtitle track. We checked every upload: the channel's numbering matches ours from 1 to 60, with no video doing double duty.
Scale matters here. Each episode runs roughly 97 to 108 seconds, so the complete 60-episode run comes to about an hour and forty minutes end to end. It is short-form, gentle everyday material, filed under Slice of Life, and the channel credits the original work to Penguin Box, published by KADOKAWA.
