Ani-One dropped Chainsmoker Cat from its lineup. We checked what its shelf is worth from the United States
A channel can drop a show, and much of what these channels carry was never counted as free here at all. We checked 112 titles on our own site from a United States connection.

Anime News Network reports that Ani-One Asia has taken the Chainsmoker Cat anime out of its streaming lineup. Our index records the show as Yani Neko, English title Chainsmoker Cat, a 2026 television series. We hold zero episode rows for it. Its page here is titled "Watch Chainsmoker Cat Online" and states no free episode count, so nothing here was affected.
A removal is still a fair moment to ask what a free anime channel is worth to the person reading.
What Muse Asia and Ani-One leave a US visitor
Four channels of the same kind appear as providers in our index: Ani-One Asia, Ani-One India, Ani-One Philippines and Muse Asia, the largest of the four for us. Every free episode row we list from Muse Asia carries a country list that does not include the United States. The same holds for every row from the three Ani-One channels but one, a Hindi-language row.
Our anime pages compute the free episode figure for the visitor's own country. 112 entries in our index have live free episode rows that come only from Muse Asia or one of the three Ani-One channels: 84 are Muse Asia only, 28 Ani-One only. All 112 pages were fetched from animesphere.app today from a United States connection, and all 112 returned HTTP 200. 111 of them state no free episode count at all. One, Dororo, states a single free episode.
Among the 111 stating nothing free: One-Punch Man, Ouran High School Host Club, Hyouka, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and Assassination Classroom Second Season. That is what our pages report to a request from here. It is not a claim about anywhere else.
Three complete runs that do play here
Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple is recorded here as 50 episodes from 2006, and its page states 50 free episodes. The channel is "Anime! on TMS Official Channel", which carries a YouTube verified badge. Episodes 1 and 50 were opened today. Both upload titles end with the words English Dub, and both watch pages report an automatic English caption track, so the audio is English. The two uploads run 1,475 and 1,447 seconds against a recorded 25 minutes, and their titles read EP01 and EP50.
Lady Oscar: The Rose of Versailles is recorded as 40 episodes from 1979, with its page stating 40 free episodes, on the same verified TMS channel. Episodes 1, 2 and 40 were opened today. Each title ends with the words English Sub, the watch pages report only an automatic Japanese caption track, and a frame from the first upload shows an English subtitle line burned into the picture reading "T-They're here!". So: Japanese audio, subtitles printed on the video. Those three run 1,454, 1,455 and 1,426 seconds against a recorded 23 minutes.
Akane-banashi is recorded as 12 episodes from 2026, and its page states 12 free episodes. The channel is "Akane-banashi Global", which does not carry a verified badge. Episodes 1, 2 and 12 were opened today, again with only an automatic Japanese caption track, and a frame from the first shows a burned-in English line reading "Oh, hold on a second.". The three run 1,490, 1,491 and 1,487 seconds against a recorded 25 minutes.
Every row we hold for all three carries a country list that includes the United States.
