Gantz creator Hiroya Oku plans to retire, and our shelf holds none of it
Three entries here carry the Gantz name and not one of them holds a free episode. So we measured the whole reader category they sit in.

Hiroya Oku has said he plans to retire once he finishes Kanrekihime, his current manga, as reported by Anime News Network. The news concerns manga. The question for a free anime catalogue is what sits on the shelf around it.
What our index holds under the Gantz name
Three entries carry the Gantz name here:
- Gantz, recorded as a 2004 television series with 13 episodes
- Gantz: Second Stage, recorded as a 2004 television series with 13 episodes
- GANTZ:O, recorded as a 2016 film
All three are filed under the reader category Seinen, and all three hold zero rows of any kind in our episode index, demoted rows included. All three live pages were requested from animesphere.app today; each returned HTTP 200 and each states no free episode. Their page titles read "Watch Gantz Online", "Watch Gantz: Second Stage Online" and "Watch GANTZ:O Online". A page that does hold something free reads "Free Online" instead.
Measuring the seinen shelf
Our index carries 20,497 entries and records a reader category for 5,630 of them. Of those, 1,144 are filed as Seinen. All 1,144 live pages were requested from animesphere.app today at the same time, and all 1,144 returned HTTP 200 with no failures. Thirty-one of them state at least one free episode, and those 31 state 280 episodes between them. The figure comes from what the production pages say, not from a local count.
The 280 is lopsided. One entry, Atashin'chi, accounts for 175 of them, and our index records that series with 330 episodes, so the free run is a portion of it. Its page states 175 free episodes and the words "Japanese audio". The uploads sit on あたしンち公式チャンネル (@Atashinchi), which carries a YouTube verified badge, confirmed by probe today. Two were opened in full: each reports an authored English subtitle track alongside an automatic Japanese caption track, and both titles carry the marker "[ENG sub]". They run 542 and 549 seconds, so they are short segments rather than half hours. The episode numbers we store do not line up with the numbers the uploads use.
Brave 10 runs to its recorded end
Brave 10 is filed under Seinen, and our index records 12 episodes for it. Its live page states 12 free episodes, so the free run reaches that recorded end. Behind it are 12 rows: 12 distinct videos across 12 distinct episode slots, 12 distinct upload titles, no video filed against two episodes, and none shared with another series. The channel is "Anime! on TMS Official Channel", which carries a YouTube verified badge, confirmed by probe today. Episodes 1, 6 and 12 were opened in full today, running 1,497, 1,430 and 1,400 seconds against a recorded 24 minutes, so they are whole episodes, and their titles match the numbers we store.
The audio is Japanese: those watch pages report only an automatic Japanese caption track and no authored English one. On the episodes we sampled, the English subtitles sit in the picture instead. Still frames taken roughly a quarter and three quarters of the way through episodes 1 and 6 show the subtitle lines in the image, not in a track a viewer switches on. The country allow-list on these rows includes the United States.
