Giant Ojo-sama arrives in January 2027. Here is what is already airing free.
Three currently airing entries state a free episode on their own pages: 5 for My Stepmother and Stepsisters Aren't Wicked, 1 each for BLACK TORCH and The Exiled Heavy Knight. Two of them hold more episodes a US reader cannot open.

An announcement gives Giant Ojo-sama a television anime, along with a visual, its main staff, and a January 2027 premiere. Hiroshi Ikehata is directing the series at Tatsunoko Production, from a manga by Nikumura Q. The announcement is written up at Anime News Network.
The thing a free and legal shelf can usefully add is a count of what is already running and already watchable without paying. Three entries our index records as currently releasing state a free episode on their own AnimeSphere pages. Every page returned HTTP 200 when read today. These are three cases worth being exact about, not a claim that they are the only ones.
Five episodes, no country restriction
The page for My Stepmother and Stepsisters Aren't Wicked states that 5 episodes are free and legal on AnimeSphere, with the note "Japanese audio". All five rows sit on one channel, It's Anime powered by REMOW, which does not carry a YouTube verified badge.
All five were opened today. Five of five resolved with no fetch failures, five distinct video identities, no duplicates, and no case of one video filed against two episodes. The upload titles read EP 1 through EP 5, matching the episode numbers we store, each carrying a MULTI-SUB label. Episodes 1 and 5 each run 1,431 seconds against a recorded episode length of 24 minutes, so these are full episodes and not clips. The watch pages for those two report an authored English subtitle track, alongside Brazilian Portuguese and Mexican Spanish tracks and an automatic Japanese caption track. None of the five rows carries a country restriction. Our index does not record a total episode count for this series, so 5 is a free count and not a fraction of anything we can state.
One episode each, on a verified channel
BLACK TORCH lists 1 free episode. It is episode 1, on the Crunchyroll channel, which carries a YouTube verified badge, running 1,435 seconds against a recorded 24 minute episode length. Its watch page reports 15 authored subtitle tracks, English among them, plus an automatic Japanese caption track. We record no total episode count for the series.
The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System also lists 1 free episode: episode 1, again on the Crunchyroll channel, running 1,430 seconds, again with 15 authored subtitle tracks including English and an automatic Japanese caption track. Here our index does record a total, 26 episodes, so that is one of 26.
Two of them hold more episodes than a US reader can open
For those two, our index holds further episodes that the pages do not count, all of them on the channel Muse Asia:
- BLACK TORCH: 5 further episodes, every row carrying a country list that excludes the United States.
- The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System: 6 further episodes, on the same terms.
So the count our pages state is the count a reader in the United States can open: 5 episodes of My Stepmother and Stepsisters Aren't Wicked, which carry no country restriction at all, and 1 episode each of BLACK TORCH and The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System. We would rather print those figures than the larger ones sitting behind a country list.
