hololive's First TV Anime Comes From Studio KAI. Three of Its 35 Entries State a Free Count
We hold 35 entries made by Studio KAI. Three state a free episode count, and two of those three share nine uploads, so the two numbers cannot be added together.

The VTuber company hololive is making a television anime for the first time, and Studio KAI is producing it. The project is called Odeholo, and it forms part of the agency marking its tenth year. That is reported by Anime News Network, and it is the whole of what we can say about Odeholo. We hold no entry for it in our index, so nothing on our site describes it.
What we can do is look at the studio. Our index records a studio list for each entry, and 35 entries name Studio KAI in that list: 16 television series, 10 music videos, 4 ONA, 3 specials, 1 OVA and 1 film. We read all 35 pages on animesphere.app today, then read them again. All 70 reads returned HTTP 200, and no page changed its episode count or its language note between the two passes.
Three pages state a free count, and two of them overlap
Of those 35, only 3 state a free episode count. Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube (2025) states 13 episodes with the note "Japanese audio". Its Part 2 states 13 episodes, also noted as Japanese audio. Sentenced to Be a Hero states 3 episodes with no note.
The two Nube figures cannot be added together. Nine videos appear on both pages, each sitting at the same episode number on both. The 2025 entry has a further problem: several of its episode slots hold an upload whose own title names a different episode. The episode 1 slot holds a video titled "S1:E1" and another titled "S1:E14". The episode 13 slot holds one titled "S1:E13" and one titled "S1:E4". Because of that we cannot point a reader at a numbered episode of either Nube entry, and we cannot say how many distinct episodes the two pages hold between them. That is a limit on what we know, and we are not going to paper over it with a total.
Sentenced to Be a Hero is the one page whose numbering holds up
We hold it as a 2026 television series with 12 episodes recorded, tagged Action, Drama and Fantasy. Its studio list names Studio KAI and nothing else. Its page states 3 free episodes and no language note, on both passes.
Behind that, our database holds three rows, episodes 1, 2 and 3, from the channel Crunchyroll, with no country restriction recorded on any of them. All three uploads were opened today and resolved on that channel, which carries a YouTube verified badge. The titles read "Sentenced to be a Hero Episode 1", "Episode 2" and "Episode 3", matching the numbers we store. Each exposes an authored English caption track alongside an automatic Japanese one. An automatic track is generated from the soundtrack, so this is Japanese audio with real written English subtitles. All three report as playable from a United States request.
Two things to record. Episode 1 runs 3,490 seconds while episodes 2 and 3 run 1,525 and 1,480, against a recorded episode length of 25 minutes. And 3 of 12 recorded episodes means the free run stops early.
