KonoSuba season 4 is set for 2027, and we cannot help you catch up

A fourth season, and a change of studio

A fourth KonoSuba season is happening. Anime News Network carried the announcement today, with staff attached and a debut set for 2027. Manabu Kurihara directs, Takaomi Kanasaki stays on as chief director, and the production shifts to a different studio, ENGI. Anime Corner posted the same day with a key visual, confirming the studio move and 2027.

That is the whole of it: no month yet, no episode count, no cast, and no word on what the season covers. Which leaves the question our catalogue exists to answer. Can you catch up here for free before 2027? No. Not in English, not from the United States.

Why our free count is a mirage

We index 9 KonoSuba entries. The first three seasons sit at 10, 10 and 11 episodes. An Explosion on This Wonderful World! adds 12. Then there is the film Legend of Crimson, 3 OVAs, and the newly announced fourth season, which has no episode count attached yet.

Across all 9 entries, the episodes a viewer in the United States can reach free number exactly 1: season 1, episode 1. Two official uploads cover that slot, and neither is in English.

• Crunchyroll Brasil, whose title marks the video as episode 1, dubbed.
• Crunchyroll en Español, whose title presents the video as a full first episode with a Latin-American Spanish dub.

Official English uploads do exist. They just do not play from the United States.

• Ani-One India carries 4 episodes flagged in their titles as English subtitles over Japanese audio. Its region list is India, nothing else.
• Ani-One Asia has 9 English episodes of season 3, plus 2 more for the season 3 bonus OVA. Its region list stops at Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau, then Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand. No United States entry appears on it.

The number that matters is zero. Zero KonoSuba episodes are free to watch in English on AnimeSphere from the United States. A healthy entry count is not the same as something you can press play on.

What we can hand you instead

If the point of catching up is finishing something, here is a run we checked rather than assumed: ZINBA, where all 52 of its 52 episodes are free to a United States viewer, carried by the Anime! on TMS Official Channel.

We sampled episodes 1, 10, 26 and 52. Each of those upload titles closes with the same English dub and full episode marker, and the numbering in the titles matches our own exactly. No single video is mapped to two separate episode numbers in that run, so the count is not padded.

Our record lists ZINBA at 52 episodes and tags it Action, Adventure and Comedy, with a premise about a boy pulled from Earth into a fantasy kingdom. That is a complete series we can put in front of you today. KonoSuba, for now, we cannot.
