Ninja Scroll's 4K revival, and what our 692 pre-2000 film entries actually offer
Three entries carry the Ninja Scroll name and none states a free episode. Of 692 films our index dates before 2000, exactly one does, and that video runs 40 seconds.

Ninja Scroll is getting a 4K re-release, and an official trailer for it is now out, as Anime Corner reports. Revival screenings are planned. The report's headline credits the film's hand-drawn action to Yoshiaki Kawajiri. Our cached copy of that summary breaks off mid sentence, so nothing further about the trailer or the screenings is established on our end.
Three entries under the name, none of them free here
Our index carries three entries called Ninja Scroll: a film recorded as 1993, a television series recorded as 2003, and a television series recorded as 2018. All three pages were fetched from animesphere.app today, all three returned HTTP 200, and all three state no free episodes. The 1993 film carries no source row of any kind in our index.
The pre-2000 film census
Our index records 692 anime films whose recorded release year falls before 2000. Every one of those 692 pages was fetched today: 692 of 692 returned HTTP 200, with zero failures. Exactly one of them states a free episode. That entry is Akira, and its page states 1.
That video was opened today. It runs 40 seconds. Its own title on YouTube is "AKIRA 4K | In Cinemas October 22", and it sits on a channel called Crunchyroll Store Australia, which does not carry a YouTube verified badge. It reports no caption tracks at all. Our index records Akira as a 1988 film with a recorded length of 125 minutes. So the number of those 692 films a reader can sit down and actually watch on our pages is zero.
Two entries whose free run covers everything we record
Ambassador Magma is recorded in our index as an OVA from 1993 with 13 episodes, and its live page states 13 free episodes. All 13 resolved when checked against their uploads today, with no fetch failures, 13 distinct episode identities and no duplicates. The titles run "AMBASSADOR MAGMA - Ep1" through "Ep13", each matching the number we store, and every one ends with "(ENGLISH DUB)". Episodes 1, 7 and 13 each report an automatic English caption track, which means the audio is English, and each runs between 1,460 and 1,474 seconds against a recorded episode length of 24 minutes. The channel is "Tezuka Productions Offical", which does not carry a YouTube verified badge, and the country list on all 13 rows is empty, meaning no country restriction.
God Mazinger is recorded with a release year of 1984 and 23 episodes, and its live page states 23 free episodes. All 23 resolved today, with no fetch failures, 23 distinct episode identities, no duplicates and no ambiguous video to episode mappings. Titles run "GOD MAZINGER - EP01" through "EP23", matching our stored numbers, each ending "English Sub | Full Episode". The channel is "Anime! on TMS Official Channel", which carries a YouTube verified badge. Episodes 1, 12 and 23 run 1,421 to 1,451 seconds against a recorded 24 minutes, and each reports only an automatic Japanese caption track, so the audio is Japanese. Frames from episodes 1 and 12 show English subtitles burned into the picture, including an episode title card carrying an English translation. That is Japanese audio with English subtitles in the image, not a dub. The country allow-list on all 23 rows includes the United States.
