This is the isekai to hand to people who think they're done with isekai — and to genre veterans who want to see the reincarnation premise actually used as a system rather than a costume. Catarina Claes wakes up as the villainess of an otome game she played in her previous life, and she knows the rules of this world with unusual precision: every romantic route ends with her exiled or dead. The 2020 series treats that knowledge like a strategy game. Catarina maps the doom flags, builds contingencies, takes up farming as an exile-preparedness plan, and in doing so warps the game's script in ways she's too dense to notice.

That's the engine, and it's a good one: a protagonist whose meta-knowledge is flawless but whose self-awareness is zero. Her countermeasures keep defusing tragedies for other characters, converting rivals and love interests alike into devoted allies, and the comedy of the entire cast falling for someone who cannot conceive of being liked stays fresh longer than it should. The fantasy-school setting is light scaffolding, but the flag-avoidance logic is applied consistently enough to satisfy viewers who care about premises honoring their own rules.

The honest limitation: once the harem-of-everyone pattern locks in, the middle of the 12-episode run gets repetitive, running variations on the same joke where stakes ought to be compounding. It coasts on charm, though the charm is considerable.
