The Ninth Jedi premieres Wednesday, and our Star Wars shelf is empty
Three Star Wars entries in our index, zero episode rows between them. The collection of shorts we do carry in full is Yao-Chinese Folktales, at 8 of 8.

The final trailer for Star Wars: Visions Presents: The Ninth Jedi is out, and the limited series premieres on Wednesday. It is a spinoff, built out from one of the shorts in Star Wars: Visions, with Production I.G animating. The Japanese cast has Chinatsu Akasaki returning as Lah Kara and Nao Omori as Nawaam. A separate report from Anime Corner dated the release August 5. Reported by Anime News Network.
Three entries, no episode rows
Our index holds three Star Wars entries: Star Wars: Visions, a 2021 ONA with 9 episodes recorded; Star Wars: Visions Volume 3, a 2025 ONA with 9 episodes recorded; and Star Wars: The Force Awakens, an ONA with 1 episode recorded. Across all three, we hold zero episode source rows. Not zero free rows. Zero rows of any kind.
All three live pages were fetched today. Each one is titled "Watch Star Wars: Visions Online", or the equivalent for its own name, with no free-episode count anywhere on it. A page that does hold free episodes carries the word "Free" in that title instead, so the difference shows up in the browser tab. We do not know why the shelf is bare there.
Our catalogue entry files Star Wars: Visions as a set of shorts from a range of makers, and lists The Ninth Jedi among them.
One collection of shorts that runs to the end
We carry Yao-Chinese Folktales under the title Zhongguo Qitan, an ONA recorded at 8 episodes: eight short animated pieces built on Chinese folklore. We file it as donghua rather than anime. All 8 of 8 are free here, which is the complete work. The live page states that eight episodes are free and legal on AnimeSphere, and it shows no prompt about the free run running out.
All eight sit on the Made By Bilibili channel, which carries a YouTube verified badge. The country list on those rows is unrestricted, so there is no region gate. Checked against the uploads today, 8 of 8 resolved with no fetch failures, and all eight are distinct episode identities with no duplicates, so nothing is being counted twice. Every upload title is marked by the channel as English-dubbed, and the watch pages report an automatic English caption track. Two signals agree that the audio is English. Runtimes fall between 876 and 1,353 seconds.
One that stops partway
POKETOON is another shape a collection of shorts takes here. It is free at 4 of 8 episodes. The live page says four episodes are free and legal on AnimeSphere, and separately notes that episodes 5 to 8 are elsewhere. The rows sit on the Pokemon Official channel with an unrestricted country list.
Two collections of shorts, two different outcomes: one complete, one halfway. The three Star Wars entries are a third case, where the entry is here and nothing else is.
