Manami is a character of the week from ep 29. She tried to convince her father, Anoki, to come home, but he told her he wouldn't until he won the P1 Grand Prix. Takeshi sympathized with Manami's feelings, so he and Satoshi volunteered to help defeat Anoki in the tournament.
