The premise's best idea is exile: cast out to the world's margins by a goddess who wants nothing to do with him, the protagonist ends up among the beings polite society discarded, and this 2021 series becomes something rarer than a power fantasy. It's a settlement story. Who joins a community of outcasts, what they owe each other, and what it means to build institutions where none existed — that's the material the show is quietly best at.

The systems thinking is genuinely above-average for the genre.
