Speed Racer has an unusual problem for a show that old: it is available in too many places, and almost none of them will just let you press play.
It is on Tubi, on Pluto, on Plex, on the Roku Channel. Every one of those is legitimate and every one of those wants something first. An app. A region. An account. A pre-roll for a car insurance company that would have appalled Pops Racer.
There is a simpler route. The rights holder posts the entire series on YouTube, and it carries no country restriction whatsoever.
What is actually there
All 52 episodes of the 1967 series, in order, in the English dub. Not a best-of. Not the first season with the rest behind a paywall. The whole run, from Mach 5, Let's Go! to the end.
The uploads are titled with both names the show has ever had, Mach GoGoGo and Speed Racer, which is a small thing that tells you a lot: this is the rights holder being careful, not an uploader being clever.
Why the two names
Mach GoGoGo is the 1967 Tatsunoko original. Speed Racer is what it became when it was dubbed for American television, and for most viewers in the United States that dub is not a version of the show, it is the show. The names Speed, Trixie, Racer X and Chim Chim were invented for it. The delivery, famously fast because the English lines had to fit mouth flaps drawn for Japanese, became the thing people impersonate when they impersonate old anime.
It is one of the first anime most Americans ever saw, and it is the reason a particular generation thinks of anime as something that goes very fast and shouts.
Does it hold up
Selectively, and more than you would expect. The racing is genuinely well staged, and the Mach 5 gadget sequences have a mechanical logic to them that most modern car animation skips. The plotting is 1967 television plotting, which means a villain per arc and a great deal of shouting into a steering wheel.
Watch the first four episodes as a pair of two-parters, because that is how they were built. Mach 5, Let's Go! is split across episodes 1 and 2, and The Mysterious Masked Racer across 3 and 4. If you stop after episode 1 you will have watched half of a story and concluded, wrongly, that it does not have one.
How we know the run is complete and correctly numbered
Every free run indexed here goes through the same check, and this one passed all of it.
There are 52 episodes and 52 distinct videos, which means no single video is doing duty as two different episodes. That sounds like a low bar. It is not: it is the most common defect we find, and it is why several well-known series are absent from our lists entirely.
The number each upload states in its own title matches the episode it is filed under, on every row. And each upload's real length is checked against the runtime a full episode of this show should have, because a run whose videos are two minutes long is a clip reel wearing an episode list. The measured figure is in the panel above, read off the uploads themselves.
The episode grid below is generated from the live catalog, so if a video is ever pulled, the grid changes with it.
Where to start
Episode 1, and then keep going through episode 2 before you judge it. If you want the show at full strength, episodes 3 and 4 introduce Racer X, which is the plot engine for everything that follows.
As of August 2026, all 52 episodes of Speed Racer are free and official on AnimeSphere, published by TokuSHOUTsu on its own channel, carrying no country restriction and needing no account. Each upload runs about 25 min.

All 52. The complete 1967 series is posted by TokuSHOUTsu and plays in the AnimeSphere page, in order, with no episode missing.
Is Speed Racer the same show as Mach GoGoGo?
Yes. Mach GoGoGo is the original 1967 Tatsunoko series; Speed Racer is its English dub, and it is the version on this shelf. The uploads carry both names in their titles.
Is it in English?
Yes, this is the English dub, which is the version most American viewers grew up with. The uploads state it in their own titles.
Do I need Tubi, Pluto or a Roku account?
No. Speed Racer is also on several ad-supported apps, but the run indexed here is an official YouTube upload with no country restriction on it at all, so it plays in the page without an app, an account or a region check.
Is watching it here legal?
Yes. AnimeSphere embeds the rights holder's own public upload and sends the view to them. Nothing is copied, re-hosted or ripped.
