Most "watch X free" pages are hedged into meaninglessness. They tell you a show is available somewhere, in some territory, in some form, and leave you to find out that "available" meant three episodes and a trailer.

This one is not hedged. The first two seasons of Yowamushi Pedal, the original 38-episode series and the 24-episode Grande Road, stream free and legally, with English subtitles, from TMS Entertainment's own YouTube channel. That is 62 episodes, in order, complete, no account required. As of July 2026 I have checked all 62 individually.

Why the check was necessary

Because a database can be confidently wrong, and this catalogue has been. Our system records a language and an episode number for every free upload it finds, and both are inferences. We have caught a studio's Portuguese-subtitled run tagged as English. We have caught shows where the video filed as episode one is the upload's episode fifty-two.

So rather than trusting the record, I pulled the real title of all 62 uploads. Every one of the 38 first-season episodes is titled by TMS with "English Sub" and states its own episode number, and every number matches ours. Grande Road numbers its episodes "ROAD.1" through "ROAD.24", which our own automated checker did not recognise as an episode number at all, and all 24 line up perfectly once you read them the way TMS writes them.

That is what "verified" means on this page. Not a green tick in a spreadsheet: the actual video, opened, read, matched.

Start at the start, and that is not negotiable

Yowamushi Pedal is one continuous race. The first season builds Sohoku's team, an anime otaku who has been riding forty kilometres to Akihabara and back on a shopping bike since primary school, and who turns out to have a climber's engine nobody expected, and takes them into the Inter-High. Grande Road is not a new story. It is days two and three of the same race.

Starting at Grande Road means starting halfway up a mountain with no idea who is climbing it or why anyone cares. Do not do it. The list below is in season order for exactly this reason.

What it is actually about, if the bicycle is putting you off

The bicycle is doing less work here than you think. What Yowamushi Pedal is really about is the specific, slightly deranged discipline that endurance sport demands, and it is unusually honest about the cost of it.

The show's real trick is that it takes the training montage seriously. Most sports anime treat training as a bridge between fights. This one treats it as the thing itself: cadence, gearing, the difference between a sprinter's body and a climber's, the way a rider's breathing tells you more about the state of a race than the standings do. By the end of the first season you will understand pace-lining well enough to be annoying about it.

And its rivals are people. The competing schools are not obstacles with hairstyles, Hakone Academy and Kyoto Fushimi get interior lives, histories and legitimate reasons to want to win. The show is generous in a way its genre often is not.

The pacing is the honest criticism. A single climb can occupy multiple episodes, and the internal monologue during those climbs is expansive. If that sounds unbearable, this is not for you. If it sounds like the point, and for a lot of people the endless interior stretch of a hard effort is precisely the point. You have 62 free episodes to work through.

How long the free run actually takes

Sixty-two episodes at roughly 24 minutes each is about 25 hours of television. That is a real commitment, so here is the honest shape of it rather than a number.

The first thirteen episodes are the slowest and the most skippable-feeling, because they are doing setup: the club, the bikes, the first races that exist to establish what the sport costs. They are also where the show earns everything later, so the standard advice applies, if you are not sure by episode four, keep going to eight.

From there the Inter-High takes over and the pacing changes completely. The remaining twenty-five episodes of season one and all twenty-four of Grande Road are one continuous three-day race, which means the show stops introducing things and starts paying them off. That stretch is the reason people recommend it, and it is where a binge becomes hard to stop.

If you have a week of evenings, two hours a night gets you through the free run comfortably. If you want a taste first, episodes one, four and thirteen will tell you whether the register works for you.

That is why this page can be specific where the aggregator sites are vague. We are not hosting anything. We are pointing at what the rights holder already published, and counting it honestly.
